Minimum Requirements

Responsibilities

  • In depth understanding of our product and service.
  • Identifies new markets and sales possibilities in different areas.
  • Identifies, targets, and engages new accounts.
  • Develops sales cycle and call frequency by scheduling appointments, making initial presentation and understanding account requirements.
  • Follows up with existing accounts to maintain steady flow of business and increases their profitability by communicating ongoing plans with customers.

Testing Personnel – Medical Laboratory Technologist

Minimum Requirements

  • Must hold an active Florida Medical Laboratory Technologist license in the specialties of testing performed in the laboratory.
  • PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in any Laboratory Science or Medical technology.
  • Have experience in clinical laboratory practice in the specialties of testing performed in the laboratory.  Preferred minimum 2 years’ experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training and/or experience working with Beckman Coulter and Siemens analyzers.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities

 As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you are expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • The technologist is responsible for fulfilling the responsibilities of the supervisor, as assigned. The assignment of responsibilities must be written and specific.
  • In addition the technologist shall fulfill the following responsibilities.
  • Performs only those tests authorized by the director.
  • Follows the clinical laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
  • Maintains records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
  • Adheres to the clinical laboratory’s quality control policies, documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed in accordance with the clinical laboratory’s approval policies and procedures.
  • Follows the clinical laboratory’s established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the clinical laboratory’s defined acceptable levels of performance.
  • Is capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify a supervisor or director.
  • Documents all corrective action taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications.
  • Exercises professional judgment in evaluation, specimen integrity, result accuracy and inter-result validity and takes corrective action as necessary. Such corrective action shall include specimen rejection, recollection, and/or retesting using the same or alternate methods and/or utilizes other skills associated with the practice of clinical laboratory science to ensure validity and accuracy of testing at all times taking care not to compromise patient care with excessive rejections, recollections or delays. If in their judgment a specimen is compromised, the technologist shall include an appropriate disclaimer statement in the report indicating the potential compromised nature of the result and why.
  • Participate in proficiency testing samples and ensure that these samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
  • In the specialty of Cytology, in addition to the above responsibilities, the technologist shall:
    • Document slide interpretation results of each gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology case he or she examined or reviewed, and the clinical laboratory’s policies and procedure.
    • Document for each 24 hour period the total number of slides examined or reviewed.
    • Document the number of hours spent examining slides in each 24 hour period.
  • Instructs and trains, all new and existing Medical Laboratory Technicians and lab staff on the policies and procedures of the clinical lab, instruments and LIS.

Testing Personnel – Medical Laboratory Technician

Minimum Requirements

  • Must hold an active Florida Medical Laboratory Technician license in the specialties of testing performed in the laboratory.
  • PhD, Master’s, Bachelor’s or Associates degree in laboratory science.
  • Have experience in clinical laboratory practice in the specialties of testing performed in the laboratory.  Preferred minimum 2 years’ experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training and/or experience working with Beckman Coulter and Siemens analyzers.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you are expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Perform tests classified as highly/moderately complex under the direct supervision of a licensed technologist, supervisor, or director.
  • Perform only those tests authorized by the director.
  • Follow the clinical laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
  • Notify a licensed technologist or supervisor whenever test systems are not within the clinical laboratory’s defined acceptable levels of performance.
  • Participate in proficiency testing samples and ensure that these samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
  • Adhere to the clinical laboratory’s quality control policies and document quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
  • Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and immediately notify a licensed technologist or supervisor.
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the clinical laboratory’s established performance specifications.
  • Follow the directives of directors, supervisors or technologists while exercising their duties and responsibilities.
  • Co Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Completes assignments on time and utilizes time effectively.
  • Knows ordering, collection, labeling, transportation and processing requirements.
  • Responsible for all aspects of documentation and compliance with regulatory agencies under the supervision of a licensed technologist, supervisor or director.

Laboratory Specimen Processor – Laboratory Assistant

Responsible for the daily processing of patient samples according to established policies and procedures.   Understands laboratory sample collections, processing and storage requirements for in-house testing and referral lab testing.  Possesses the ability to organize workload for maximum efficiency, accurately and to help maintain the quality of patient testing.  Assist testing personnel with laboratory testing.  Ability to maintain good patient relations and handle difficult situations in a lab collection center. 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Have experience in clinical laboratory practice in the specialties of testing performed in the laboratory.  Preferred minimum 2 years’ experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training and/or experience working with Beckman Coulter and Siemens analyzers.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Utilizes Personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Works within safety policies and procedures defined by lab protocol.
  • Maintains the lab in a safe and clean manner.
  • Professional and courteous to patients and clients at all times.
  • Provides patient with preparation and collection instructions for lab testing.
  • Helpful to patients and clients in answering questions and follow-ups up as necessary.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Follows the physician order when ordering tests.
  • Verifies Insurance and correctly enters into the system.
  • Ensures that the specimen meets sample requirements for in-house testing as well as testing sent to reference labs.
  • Ensures that lab test requisitions are accurately completed and follows-up for additional information if needed.
  • Orders tests into the LIS accurately and in a timely manner.

Identification.

  • Properly processes the samples and maintains specimen integrity at all times.
  • Calls the Physician or ordering facility with any questions regarding the lab test orders.
  • Maintains proper rotation of supplies, dates and initials upon receipt.
  • Orders supplies as needed, notifies supervisor of any inventory issues.
  • Assists supervisor in inventory management and helps unpack supplies.
  • Documents temperatures and maintenance daily, when patient testing is performed.
  • Takes corrective actions when monitors are unacceptable.
  • Assists Lab supervisor with the monitoring and collecting of data.
  • Performs Quality Assurance reporting as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Director.
  • Seeks out the necessary supervisory approval for all over time.
  • Adheres to infection control procedures at all times.
  • Follows all departmental safety policies and reports safety hazards to the Lab Director.
  • Attends OSHA, Biomedical Waste and any other training as necessary.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • Recognizes and performs duties in an independent manner, without being instructed to do so.

Phlebotomist

Responsible for the daily collection of patient samples according to established policies and procedures.   Understands laboratory sample collections, processing and storage requirements for in-house testing and referral lab testing.  Possesses the ability to organize workload for maximum efficiency, accurately and to help maintain the quality of patient testing.  Assist testing personnel with laboratory testing.  Ability to maintain good patient relations and handle difficult situations in a lab collection center. 

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Phlebotomy Certification.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Performs Quality Assurance reporting as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Medical Office experience required.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy Certification.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls received in the Front Desk phone.

  • Maintains work environment in a safe and clean manner.
  • Helpful to patients and clients in answering questions and follow-ups up as necessary.

  • Responsible for responding to and acting on client calls requesting test results and needing help.
  • Ensures that lab test requisitions are accurately completed and follows-up for missing and additional information if needed.
